Here is our YouTube video on this subject.
Hi, my name is Joseph Hollins. Most people just call me Joe. I own Clean and Thankful Cleaning Services LLC in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I would like to take a moment to help you understand the difference between cleaning companies.
There are 3 types of cleaning companies: Owner-operator, Franchise, and National company. When you call a cleaning company, usually they come out and give you a quote, an estimate, or you see the price on their website.
Let's say you have a 4,000 square foot building with two small single restrooms you want cleaned once a week. Each type of company comes out and gives you a quote on how much it will cost to clean once a week per month price.
Owner-operator says $400.
Franchise says $320.
National company says $240.
Now, which one are you going to hire? The owner-operator is the highest, and the national cleaning company is the cheapest.
First, ask yourself, are these companies all going to provide the same level of service every week? How detailed do you want your building cleaned every week? In general, an owner-operator company is going to cost more. The owner-operator will do the work or hire an employee. A franchise company will get you set up and sell your account to a person that wants to enter the cleaning industry and get a percentage of the cost or subcontract it to an owner-operator and get a percentage. A national company will more than likely subcontract out to an owner-operator.
I am not saying one is better than another, but when shopping for your cleaning service, you want to compare each company to make sure you are comparing apples to apples, not apples to oranges to pears. I hope this helps you when you are shopping for a cleaning service.
